Li is currently the artistic director of Rive-Gauche Theatre Group and one of the founding members and major playwright/director of Creative Society. As the leader of Rive-Gauche Theatre Group for a long time, Li established Rive-Gauche Theatre Group as a theatre of image with its registered poetic aesthetics. With Chi Wei-jan, Katherine Hui-ling Chou, Ying-chuan Wei, and Li Yuan-ping, he co-founded the Creative Society in 1997 and worked as director in Ma Jian All Night and A Bed for Four. He rejoined Rive-Gauche Theatre Group in 1998 and put on Imaginary Flight and Fleeting Stars 2000. The latter was selected as one of the best ten works of performance art that year by China Times. In addition to theatre, he is also an experienced music marketing specialist and a writer. He used to be the senior manager of foreign division of EMI Record in Taipei. Hu Nai-yuan¡¦s two albums, The Age of Innocence and Sceneries Without Music and Jimmy¡¦s Sound of Colors, Going Left; Going Right are his best achievements in this job. He has also published an anthology of poems, City of Loneliness.
